Graphical ones also butt up against the memory issue which will obviously be solved with the remaster being 64 bit.

Despite having played it a gazzillion times, I still want to play the remastered one.

Does the remastered edition have a SkyUI style menu? I'm not playing it if I have to go back to the horror that is the default inventory menu.

Probably stuck with the god awful default one Edwin. SkyUI is needing the SKSE to be updated to work in the remastered version.

I want to say that I read somewhere that the UI is getting an upgrade, but a quick search hasn't thrown anything up, so I might have imagined it.

It is ridiculous that in all the time the game has been out they haven't just added it in a patch to make it the default UI.

Well you have to remember that they are a fairly small team at Bethesda Software, so by the time Sky UI was stable they had probably moved on to another project and didn't think the work necessary to change the UI was worth it. It is fairly easy for us to think it would have been a simple task to get it working, but changing something as intrinsic to the game as the UI can often have major knock-on effects on other areas of the game.

Nah they just make horrid UI in there games now and let modders fix them. Look at Fallout 4 and how clunky that one is as well. I think the only UI I have actually liked was from Morrowind as you could change it how you liked and have practically everything open at once to look at.

I'm not disputing that :) I just think it isn't necessarily an easy fix post release. In their defence good UI design is one of the hardest things to do in game development.

Oh I know but it's just one of the things you would think they should aim to get right when you're practically using it all the time and stop trying to get PC users stuck with a console made one :P

The massive total conversion Enderal: The Shards of Order is out. It's from the same people who made Nehrim for Oblivion.
