yes, theme of new thread = faction warfare is fun

My 6th month old alt is causing havoc with Kinda'Shujaa in Amarrian low-sec, with about 3000M isk damage done to 7M isk taken, showing that you don't need a 3 year old char to be competitive, you've just gotta have a good skill training stratagy.

Best advice I can give, if you have a reasonable amount of cash to flash, is to beeline straight for stealth bombers (after learning skills), as for a relatively small amount of skillpoints you can dish out a serious amount of pain in a gang. While you're smashing hulls in your bomber you can be training up your basic support skills (as well as a few level3-4 missile skills to give you a bit more of an edge), and then you'll be able to have some fun in a competitive rifter (ie tech 2 equipment with decent cap, speed and damage skills, rather than your typical noob rifter). Then you can be going for assault frigs / ceptors / EAS while you're pushing your skills in the direction of cruiser.

Basically the idea is to not be flying a ship (apart from the initial stealth bomber and a few other exceptions) until you're averaging at least level4 in the relevant skills, so that you're flying it competitively. The absolute opposite of this strategy, yet much more common, is to beeline straight for battleships but be about 5% as effective as the best battleship pilots out there. This way you're always no less than 80-90% as proficient as the best pilots out there. And as pretty much every shipclass in the game is useful in pvp, there really doesn't have to be a desperate rush to be a newbie in a battleship.

So, um, what happened to my thread exactly? :?

Anyway, gonna finish the last little bit for Nighthawk then think I'll be headed for a capital ship. Don't see anything else to shoot for, really.

I'm losing Thoraxes like they're going out of fashion.

I suppose it's my own fault for making a nuisance of myself with scrams, webs and nosferatus.

Reading everyone talking about how fun FW is makes me want to do it. Bastard corp standings preventing us from joining yet. :(

Ah, you had quit then? We were wondering where you went :P . I think you got an EVE mail earlier tonight saying you might be kicked from corp soon, since we're trying to get standings up a bit by kicking inactive people with bad standings.

If you're going to resub soon, let me know, and I'll stop whisp from kicking you. If you resub later, you're welcome back in corp, just we want to get started in FW as soon as possible.
